Pre-Operative Medical Clearance in South Florida
If your surgeon or surgical facility has asked for medical clearance before an elective procedure, Pink Mobile Labs & Diagnostics can coordinate the evaluation and the testing they requested — pre-op laboratory work, a 12-lead EKG, and chest X-ray when ordered — at your home, office, or hotel across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties.
What medical clearance means
Medical clearance — clinically, a preoperative medical evaluation — is an assessment performed before an elective procedure to help identify and communicate perioperative risk and to complete the testing a surgeon, anesthesia team, or facility has requested.
It does not guarantee that surgery will be approved or that a procedure is safe for you. Requirements are individualized, and the surgeon, anesthesia team, and surgical facility ultimately determine whether and how a procedure proceeds.
How the process works

Get your surgeon's or facility's requirements
Your surgeon, anesthesia team, or surgical facility decides what is required. Share the clearance form, order sheet, or checklist they gave you so the visit is scheduled around exactly what they asked for.

Schedule your evaluation and testing
Request an appointment online or call 754-300-9290. We confirm your address falls inside our Miami-Dade, Broward, or Palm Beach service area and book a time that fits your procedure date.

Clinical history and examination as applicable
A licensed clinician reviews your medical history, current medications, and relevant symptoms, and performs an examination as appropriate to the requested evaluation.

Complete the ordered or clinically indicated testing
Blood draws, 12-lead EKG, and chest X-ray are performed when ordered or clinically indicated — at your home, office, or hotel. Not every patient needs every test.

Results are reviewed
Samples are transported to the laboratory and results are reviewed against the information available. Most test results are available within 24–72 hours, depending on the test and laboratory.

Documentation is communicated
Completed documentation and results are provided to you and, where you direct us, to the requesting surgeon or facility. The surgeon, anesthesia team, and facility make the final decision about whether and how to proceed.

Testing your surgeon may request
Requirements vary by patient and by procedure. Not all patients need all tests — we perform what has been ordered or is clinically indicated.
Pre-operative laboratory testing
Blood work commonly requested before surgery — such as CBC, metabolic panels, and coagulation studies — collected by a licensed phlebotomist at your location and transported to the laboratory.

An electrocardiogram records the electrical signal from your heart to check for different heart conditions. Frequently requested for older patients, cardiac history, or facility protocol — but not required for everyone.
Mobile diagnosticsChest X-ray (when ordered)
Mobile chest imaging is available when your surgeon or facility specifically orders it, or when it is clinically indicated. Routine chest X-rays are not appropriate for every patient.

Many cosmetic and plastic surgery patients travelling to or living in Miami and greater South Florida are asked to complete preoperative evaluation and testing before their procedure date. Because appointments happen at your home, hotel, or office, clearance testing can be completed without adding another trip to your schedule.

What to bring and how to prepare
- The clearance form, order sheet, or checklist your surgeon or facility provided
- A current list of all medications, supplements, and dosages
- Your relevant medical history, including prior surgeries and known conditions
- Government-issued photo identification
- Details about the planned procedure and its scheduled date
- Contact information for the surgeon, coordinator, or facility receiving the documentation
- Any recent lab work, EKG, or imaging you already have
Timing and turnaround
Most test results are available within 24–72 hours, depending on the test and laboratory.
Book far enough ahead of your procedure that results can return, be reviewed, and leave room for any additional testing or follow-up your surgeon or facility requests before their deadline. We cannot promise a specific date on which clearance documentation will be finalized, because that depends on the tests ordered, laboratory timelines, and the requirements of the receiving surgeon or facility.
